For the second time in three weeks, A.J. Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in some sort of sideline controversy.

It was back in Week 13, that Eagles security head and assistant to the general manager Dom DiSandro found himself in the news for all the wrong reasons after getting physical with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw. It led to DiSandro being banned from the sideline for the remainder of the season.

In the second half of Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, Brown found himself in a bit of an ado with an unnamed Seahawks staffer. It started with the star wide receiver going after Seattle cornerback Michael Jackson. As you can see below, Brown shoved the staffer after he was bumped into on the Seahawks’ sideline.

It is somewhat surprising that the NFL did not go to review to check out the incident given that those watching the game from home and the ESPN broadcast pointed to what was happening.

Remember, both Greenlaw and DiSandro were ejected from that aforementioned Week 13 game after they went to review within the league office in New York. No such review took place Monday night.

A.J. Brown stats (2023): 90 receptions, 1,258 yards, 7 TD

It seems highly unlikely that Brown will hear from the NFL outside of a potential fine after this incident. But it certainly does raise some questions about what we’re seeing on sidelines around the league this season.

First off, why is the staffer involving himself in this situation? He should not be anywhere near those competing on the field, let alone getting physical with a player.
