The SEC schedule was released for the 2024 college football season Wednesday night. This is not your typical schedule release with the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns joining the now-super conference.
The schedule is a whopper. Oklahoma’s first conference game will be against Tennessee in Norman on Sept. 21. Other notable games for the Sooners include Texas in Dallas on Oct. 12 in the continuation of the “Red River” shootout. Oklahoma will also take on Alabama at home in the second-to-last regular season game. Here is a look at the program’s full schedule.

Of course, a lot of the talk was about Georgia and Alabama. The two played in this season’s SEC Championship Game and have been the standards in the conference over the past several seasons.
Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide can’t be happy to hear that they must travel to Oklahoma a week before the Iron Bowl against Auburn to close up shop on the regular season. Alabama also hosts Georgia (Sept. 28) while having road dates with Tennessee (Oct. 19) and LSU (Nov. 9). That’s not going to be easy sledding.

As for the Bulldogs, they have road dates with Alabama and Texas while hosting Auburn, Florida and Tennessee. It won’t be easy for the powerhouse program, either.
