Are the Atlanta Hawks going to trade Trae Young?

Surprising reports ahead of the NBA Playoffs surfaced regarding this Hawks star. Apparently, Atlanta’s ownership group has given general manager Landry Fields permission to seek out a Young trade during the summer.

Atlanta went on to fall to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. It seems as if the disappointment of the past two seasons coupled with a rift between Young and the Hawks’ organization has things headed for a divorce. A lot of this will depend on whether the Hawks can get fair-market value for Young right now. Despite his ultra-talented ways, Young’s trade market might be limited due to his perceived lack of maturity and struggles on the defensive end of the floor.

Houston Rockets have star young guard Jalen Green on trade block

It’s not a secret that Rockets general manager Rafael Stone is going big-game hunting this coming summer. Houston has already been linked to its former star, James Harden, on a never-ending loop.

We’re now hearing NBA trade rumors surrounding 2021 No. 2 overall pick, guard Jalen Green. Said rumors suggest that Houston would be willing to part with Green if it is able to get a true star in return. The youngster averaged a solid 22.1 points per game this past season but shot just 42% from the field. It remains to be seen whether another team will view Green as a central component in a potential blockbuster.

Latest on Damian Lillard’s future with the Portland Blazers

It’s looking more and more like Portland will face a trade request from the 32-year-old Lillard after tanking its way to a 33-49 record this past season. Dame made it clear that things must change in the Pacific Northwest if he’s going to return in 2023-24.

The Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat are two teams that have already been linked to the seven-time All-Star performer and future first ballot Hall of Famer. This past season saw Lillard average a resounding 32.2 points per game while shooting 46% from the field. If he’s put on the block, there is going to be a ton of interest in the star guard’s services. That’s for sure.

NBA trade rumors point to Toronto Raptors blowing it up

Toronto’s decision to fire head coach Nick Nurse and its flirtation with Becky Hammon as a replacement leads us to believe that front office head Masai Ujiri is going to blow it all up in Toronto.

The Rapors are coming off a loss in the NBA Play-In Tournament and will likely see star guard Fred VanVleet hit free agency this summer. Rumors have indicated that forwards Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby could be had. Though, surprising reports tell us a story regarding Siakam’s lack of perceived value on the trade block. It’s going to be an interesting summer in Canada.

Chicago Bulls not yet ready to blow it up

Despite losing in the Play-In Tournament to conclude a disappointing season, the Bulls don’t see any reason to blow it up heading into the summer.

“That’s been thrown around all this season—‘blow up, rebuild.’ It’s not on our minds. “I think the moment we changed our minds in the 20-21 season to kind of focus on winning and try to build a sustainable program here, I think that’s what we’re focused on right now.”

Executive vice president Artūras Karnišovas on Bulls’ involvement in NBA trade rumors

There are a lot of different factors that go into this thinking. Star guard Lonzo Ball could miss the entire 2023-24 season due to injury after he sat out this past campaign. DeMar DeRozan is under contract through next season. Fellow wing Zach LaVine is locked up long term. Meanwhile, center Nikola Vucevic is set to hit free agency. Apparently, Chicago’s brass believes this core group can contend despite massive evidence to the contrary.

Dallas Mavericks looking to add key pieces during summer

Dallas obviously has to concern itself with the status of impending free agent Kyrie Irving after major struggles following a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

However, general manager Nico Harrison also has to worry about appeasing star guard Luka Doncic. Dallas is coming off a disappointing season. The loss of Jalen Brunson in free agency last summer hurt. It’s only a matter of time before Doncic grows frustrated. The most-recent reports indicate that Dallas is interested in Milwaukee Bucks wing Khris Middleton and Phoenix Suns big man Deandre Ayton.

Miami Heat already involved in NBA trade rumors

Miami is currently engaged in an Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup with the hated New York Knicks after it pulled off an historic upset over the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. Just don’t tell that to front office head Pat Riley, who is already looking to make a splash this coming summer.

Multiple media reports have linked the aforementioned Lillard to South Beach. The idea is to get Jimmy Butler some more scoring help after the Heat finished this past regular season dead last in points per game. In addition to Lillard, there will be other names bandied about in Miami. Perhaps a sign-and-trade for Kyrie Irving from the Dallas Mavericks could be in the cards.
