Philadelphia Eagles sign Pro Bowl OL Jason Peters

Philadelphia Eagles OL Jason Peters

The Philadelphia Eagles are signing Pro Bowl offensive lineman Jason Peters, reuniting with the beloved star and locker room leader just a few months after they parted ways this offseason.

Philadelphia Eagles sign Jason Peters, move him to guard

Jason Peters joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009 and instantly became a trusted leader in the locker room, while also dominating on the field. The organization moved on from him in March, but they will now be reuniting with a Super Bowl on everyone’s mind.

While Peters has struggled to stay healthy in recent years, he has often been a pillar at left tackle. A nine-time Pro Bowl selection and six-time All-Pro, twice on the first-team, he attracted some interest shortly after becoming a free agent.

The Eagles were set along the offensive line heading into the summer, but guard Brandon Brooks then suffered a torn Achilles.

Now returning to Philadelphia, Peters will be playing right guard for the first time in his NFL career. Across 205 career games with the Eagles and Buffalo Bills, Peters played 221 at left tackle and 16 at right tackle.

If this is the big move that was teased this weekend, it is an excellent addition for the Eagles.
