Antonio Brown says he’d prefer to play with Tom Brady, Buccaneers

Tom Brady, Antonio Brown

While Antonio Brown only played one game with Tom Brady, their time together formed a bond between two of the NFL’s most talented players. Now with Brady joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brown is hoping to be teammates with him once again.

In an interview on The Mike Calta Show, the 31-year-old receiver made it clear that if the choice is up to him, he prefers to follow Brady to Tampa Bay. Brown said he congratulated Brady after he signed with the Buccaneers and he also raved about head coach Bruce Arians’ offensive mind during the interview.

The desire to play together is mutual for Brady, who reportedly wanted any team he signed with also to bring in Brown. However, the Buccaneers are viewed as an unlikely landing spot for Brown due to Arians’ past history with him and that being a factor in Tampa Bay’s coach being against it.

While Brown is certainly talented and wants to return to the NFL, even vowing to take responsibility for his prior actions his history of legal troubles and off-field drama might prevent that from happening.
