Redskins’ Case Keenum seen in walking boot during practice

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has yet to name a starter for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots after benching Case Keenum for rookie Dwayne Haskins last week.

There’s probably good reason for this. Keenum was seen during Wednesday’s practice with a walking boot.

The veteran suffered a foot injury back in Week 3, but was able to go in last week’s humiliating blowout loss to the New York Giants.

He was ultimately replaced by Haskins, who threw three interceptions in a brutal overall performance.

If Keenum can’t go for the winless Redskins, it’s either going to be Haskins or Colt McCoy. But at this point, does it really matter? The Skins are absolutely atrocious. Gruden could be on his way out of town here soon.

It’s looking very much like yet another lost season in the nation’s capital.
