Dwayne Haskins could start Sunday against the Giants

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has not necessarily given rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins a ringing endorsement.

Despite Case Keenum turning the ball over a whopping five times in Monday night’s loss to the Chicago Bears, Gruden has continued to state that he plans to sit Haskins.

That could now change. Keenum missed Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury and is questionable to play Week 4.

Even with veteran Colt McCoy returning to practice, Gruden noted that Haskins would get the start if Keenum can’t go.

Likely coaching for his future in D.C. this weekend, we’re sure that Gruden doesn’t want to rely on a rookie quarterback to save his job. It’s why he’s likely sticking with Keenum.

However, the embattled head man might not have a choice. Washington heads into Week 4 with an 0-3 record and on the brink of irrelevance.
