Colts GM: Andrew Luck may not start Week 1, now dealing with ‘high ankle-like issue’

Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck has been out of commission since earlier this spring with a nagging calf injury. On Tuesday, Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard said that in the course of dealing with the calf injury, Luck developed a high ankle-like issue centered on the front of his ankle.

That’s bad.

Even worse, the Colts aren’t sure if Luck will be ready for Week 1 now.

Luck had a phenomenal comeback season last year after missing the entire 2017 campaign due to a recurring shoulder injury. Needless to say, Colts fans, and the organization itself, are likely dealing with a bit of panic over this latest development.
