The looming free agency of Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has been a major talking point through the early part of the NBA season.
Following an incident between Durant and Draymond Green, coach Steve Kerr praised how the rest of his team has handled the situation.

He also insisted that Durant’s free agency is not an issue for the Warriors.

Of course, the next question is, do you believe Kerr?
It’s worth noting that this goes against reports from the incident. Those have said that Green specifically mentioned Durant’s upcoming free agency (which you can read more about here).
For the most part, Durant has indicated that he wants to stay with Golden State. The Warriors have won two NBA Championships since Durant joined the team, with Durant winning the Finals MVP both times. Additionally, Golden State enters Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks (which Green will be suspended for) at 11-3. So it’s not like the discord has led to any long term negatives on the court — at least not yet.
But regardless of what Kerr says, it seems as though at least these two have significant fences to mend with each other.
