The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly believe that president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo had no knowledge of the burner Twitter accounts that have been linked to him, that he didn’t send any messages or have any knowledge that messages were being sent from those accounts.
This information emerged on Wednesday evening, via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia, who cited a source.
The Sixers launched a full investigation into this matter after the embarrassing fiasco unfolded last week, and for his part Colangelo has maintained his innocence, claiming someone is out to get him.
At this time, per the report, the 76ers are trying to decide if they can feasibly keep Colangelo on board. Given the optics of this entire situation, that may not be a good move.
