The St. Louis Cardinals might have missed out on Giancarlo Stanton, but the team has reportedly added a pretty solid consolation prize.
According to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com, the Cardinals have added two-time All-Star outfielder Marcell Ozuna from the Miami Marlins.

This is in no way a surprise. St. Louis had been considered favorites to land the 27-year-old slugger since missing out on Stanton (more on that here).
Ozuna is coming off a career-best 2017 campaign that saw him hit .312 with 37 homers, 124 RBI and a .376 OBP. He’ll fit nicely into the middle of the Cardinals’ lineup as they look to make a return trip to the playoffs after a two-year hiatus.
