The expectation over the past couple weeks was that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be able to return from injured reserve when eligible.
Out since Week 6 with a broken collarbone, that no longer seems to be imminent. According to Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, Rodgers remains under evaluation and there’s no timeline for his return to the field.

In no way does this mean Rodgers won’t be active for Green Bay’s all-important Week 15 game against Carolina this upcoming Sunday. It simply means that he has not yet been cleared to return. That could still come later in the week, especially considering Rodgers is set to undergo a CT scan on his collarbone here soon. That will likely determine the former MVP’s availability.
Coming off two consecutive overtime wins with Brett Hundley under center, Green Bay finds itself in the NFC Playoff race at 7-6 on the season. But the team will need Rodgers back on the field this week in order for its playoff hopes to remain alive.
