Packers’ Aaron Rodgers to undergo CT scan on collarbone

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers after beating the Cincinnati Bengals in NFL Week 3

The Green Bay Packers hope to have quarterback Aaron Rodgers activated and back on the field for next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Everything seems to be pointing in the direction of Rodgers being activated from injured reserve and taking the field for the first time since he broke his collarbone back in Week 6.

Though, it looks like there’s one more hurdle he must overcome in order to be activated. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Rodgers will undergo a CT scan on the collarbone in the coming week. That will determine whether the former NFL MVP will see the field again this season.

Green Bay enters Week 14 with a 6-6 record and an outside shot at earning a wildcard spot in the NFC. It’s set to take on the winless Browns Sunday.

If the Packers come out on top here, there will be a strong push for Rodgers to be activated. Though, the results of this CT scan will play a larger role than the Packers’ playoff aspirations.
