Josh Gordon committed to the Browns long term

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon finally returned to action in Week 13 after being inactive for nearly three years.

He has remained dedicated to the Browns and has no plans to request a trade, contrary to any trade discussions or rumors.

“You can ask for a trade whenever you want to really, but that’s not really on my mind, man,” he said, per Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com. “I’m just glad to be back.”

It has been a long journey for Gordon who has faced multiple league suspensions since being drafted by the Browns in 2012. Gordon has played in three games so far and has tallied 12 receptions for a total of 201 yards and one touchdown. He is also averaging an impressive 16.8 yards per catch.

Despite his contribution and the boost he provides on offense, the Browns have not managed a win since his return.

Though, this doesn’t seem to be impacting Gordon too much.

“You want to come to Cleveland to change the dynamic, to be one of the people responsible for bringing a winning season, a winning organization to the city. “That means we have to work hard, and when we do get over that hill, it’s going to be great.”

It is good to know Gordon has not given up hope. His positive outlook is encouraging as he attempts to keep his career on the right course.

Next up for Gordon and the Browns is road game in Chicago to face the Bears. Whether the Browns finally pull of their first win of the season is obviously a weekly thought around Cleveland these days.
