Report: Browns could trade Josh Gordon’s rights if reinstated Tuesday

The Cleveland Browns could soon be getting something in return for suspended receiver Josh Gordon, who is in New York Tuesday for a meeting with the NFL.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Gordon’s right could be traded if the league reinstates the receiver before the deadline.

Gordon, 26, is one of the most intriguing players in the NFL. He led the league in receiving back in 2013, despite playing just 13 games that year and despite not having an elite quarterback tossing him the pigskin.

Throughout his career, most of which has been spent suspended, Gordon has caught 161 passes for 2,754 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Browns have indicated in the past they were moving on, whether he was reinstated or not. With that in mind, it makes sense the organization would try to get something in return for him, even though it desperately needs help at the receiver position.
