Tight end Martellus Bennett’s time as a Packer was abruptly cut short after he was released by Green Bay on Wednesday. The team claims Bennett did not disclose a shoulder when he signed with the team this past spring.
With some bad blood brewing in the air, left tackle David Bakhtiari came forward and shared this comment about Bennett’s departure.
Asked Bakhtiari if he felt Martellus Bennett quit on the #Packers, and he would not go that far. "I’ll just say I’m disappointed with how everything unfolded. I’ll leave it I at that."

Clearly, Bakhtiari is not happy with how things unfolded with his ex-teammate. Prior to his release, Bennett also tweeted that this season might be his final in the NFL. Things obviously have not gone according to plan when it comes to the Packers 2017 season.
The worst was losing quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the foreseeable future. Green Bay has yet to win a game with a struggling Brett Hundley under center.
As for Bennett, he was quickly claimed by the New England Patriots which is where he spent his 2016 season. When healthy, Bennett can be an asset to any team. Unfortunately, his stint with the Packers will go down as one that didn’t exactly go too swimmingly.
