The rookie suffered a concussion and injuries to his face during an off road vehicle accident in July. Originally, McDowell was placed on the reserve/did not report list after he failed to show up at training camp on Sunday.
At least now McDowell is back in Seattle and with his teammates. The injuries were concerning enough that it was originally reported that McDowell could miss the entire 2017 NFL season.
McDowell later shared that his injuries were not career-threatening.
The Seahawks’ first preseason game takes place on August 13 in California at the new home of the Los Angeles Chargers.
