The Los Angeles are doing some serious work investigating potential trades to bolster their pitching staff before the trade deadline. One of those potential moves could be bringing in pitcher Yu Darvish in a trade with the Texas Rangers, per Jon Morosi of MLB.com.

One of those other teams is reportedly the New York Yankees, per George A. King III of the New York Post.
Darvish is owed just $4 million for the remainder of the season, so any team that land him in a trade would be getting great value on a rental. He’s going to be a free agent following the season, and Texas will almost certainly trade him if he’s not interested in staying on past this year. The Rangers are not expected to give him a big offer at this time, per Buster Olney of ESPN.
Though Darvish has a 6-8 record this season, he’s not necessarily pitching poorly. He sports a 3.44 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP with 143 strikeouts in just over 133 innings pitched.
The Dodgers have also been linked to New York Mets right hander Addison Reed and and appear to be gearing up for a World Series or bust finish to the 2017 season.
