Everyone is looking to sniff a piece of the super team that the Golden State Warriors have built in Oakland.
Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and free agent quarterback Michael Vick have both joked about trading in their gridiron cleats for basketball shoes.
While that’s all mildly funny in and of itself, a report on Sunday indicating that Stephen Jackson is attempting a comeback with the Warriors is all sorts of serious.

Jackson, 38, last played in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers back in 2013-14. Though, he only appeared in nine games, scoring a total of 15 points.
Jackson’s last substantial action in the Association was with the then Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs in 2012-13 when he averaged 6.2 points in 55 games.
Those in the Bay Area will remember Jackson as being a part of the “We Believe” Warriors team back in 2006-07, the organization’s first trek to the playoffs after a 12-year hiatus.
He averaged 16.7 points for the Warriors that year, following that up with 20-plus point averages the following two seasons.
It’s important to note that Jackson is not guaranteed a roster spot. He’s also likely going to be a long shot to earn one of the 15 spots on the team’s final roster.
In addition to adding Kevin Durant, the Warriors have signed David West and Zaza Pachulia, bringing their current number of guaranteed contracts to 13. The team is also said to be in play for former Milwaukee Bucks starting center Larry Sanders.
