Josh Norman literally laughs off jab by Odell Beckham Jr.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. boldly took credit on Wednesday for making cornerback Josh Norman — a new member of the Washington Redskins — “relevant” in the league.

Considering the stormy relationship the two created this past season, it is not surprising that Norman responded to OBJ’s comment the very next day.

“I don’t even know how you respond to that other than laugh. I don’t know what you get out of that,” Norman said via Chris Lingebach of CBS DC, 106.7 The Fan. “There’s a time when people who honor themselves will fall short, so when that day comes, we’ll just see.”

That’s a definite poke back at OBJ.

It is quite rich that Beckham would claim ownership for Norman’s success in the league. Beckham lost his cool late last season while being paired up opposite Norman when the corner played for the Carolina Panthers.

Beckham’s aggressive behavior drew penalties, which led to a one-game suspension.

As much as Beckham would like to credit that infamous game for Norman’s “relevance,” the young corner made a name for himself when he recorded four interceptions and two touchdowns last season.

For this, Norman became the highest-paid corner in the league. We can bet he is also having the last laugh while he cashes in on his fat $75 million contract.

This tit-for-tat between Norman and Beckham is likely to continue this fall when the duo meet up twice during the 2016 season.
