Zion Williamson to miss remainder of Summer League with knee injury

New Orleans Pelicans rookie No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson made his Summer Leagued debut with the team in Vegas Friday evening.

Said debut was cut short by both an earthquake and a minor injury Williamson suffered. He scored 11 points.

One day after making his debut, it’s being reported that Williamson will miss the remainder of the Summer League with a bruised knee.

While the injury itself doesn’t seem to be too severe, it’s not great news. New Orleans wanted Williamson to play as much as possible during Summer League action before training camp opens this fall.

That’s now not going to be the case.

The good news? This injury won’t impact Williamson for training camp or the regular season.
