With Saturday Night’s Main Event going down this weekend and Survivor Series 2025 only a few weeks away, WWE created some mystery on Sunday morning when the company posted a video of an unknown individual walking with the camera focused on their expensive-looking shoes.
So, who could be this mystery man set to make his return or debut with the company? We look to answer that question with a rundown of five possible options, including former World Heavyweight king Gunther.
Austin Theory

There have been rumblings over the last few weeks that internal favorite Austin Theory could be making his return to the company. Reports stated earlier this month that he would be a new member of The Vision. However, with the group’s leader, Seth Rollins, being ousted two weeks ago, those original plans may have been scrapped.
Perhaps he is being repackaged for a return, and a new business-casual look will be a part of the character overhaul.
Trick Williams

One stud performer who has long had a look that included designer clothing is NXT great Trick Williams. There has been speculation for the last year that he was headed to the main roster. After losing the TNA title two weeks ago and falling in his NXT title match at Halloween Havoc, it seems like he has done all the necessary jobs on the way out and could be the mystery man in the video.
Gunther

Sooner or later, two-time Heavyweight champ Gunther will be back on WWE TV. After losing his title to CM Punk at SummerSlam, he has been MIA recovering from nose surgery. With rumors that he will be John Cena’s final opponent, it makes sense to get him back in the fold and build toward that iconic match expected to go down in December.
Moose

Reports this month claimed that over a dozen TNA Wrestling contracts are set to expire very soon. Company legend Moose could be one of those talents. With little left to prove in TNA and an open desire to finally move to WWE, the multi-time Total Nonstop Wrestling and Impact champ being the mystery man in the video is very possible.
Santos Escobar

A few weeks ago, it looked like Santos Escobar’s days in WWE were over following reports of failed negotiations on a new contract. However, just days after his deal expired, he reportedly inked a new pact. With a big raise rumored to be a part of the new deal, the company could look to make a big splash by repackaging him a little and pushing him hard the rest of the year. That could start with some new vignettes like the one posted this weekend.
