When AEW alum Danhausen made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber, he received a cold welcome from fans in Chicago. That was likely due to hopes for someone else in the mystery box opened up at the event. However, the very nice, very evil character has quickly cultivated a growing fanbase after entertaining appearances at WWE RAW and SmackDown last week.
The proof came on Monday when he got a sizable ovation from the crowd in Seattle when he gave out T-shirts during a commercial break. Seeing who he encounters next is now a fun element of upcoming editions of RAW and SmackDown. With that in mind, we take a look at seven stars we can’t wait to see Danhausen meet next.
Roman Reigns
Multi-time WWE Champion Roman Reigns is at the very top of the WWE food chain. He is a serious character who does not want to see his time wasted. It’s why an encounter with Danhausen could be comedy gold. What does he think of the smaller man with the face paint, and vice versa?
Reigns showed during the Bloodline saga that he can lean into comedic moments and entertain. He and Danhausen would be much better than many expect if put on camera together.
‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin
WWE icon “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is known for his intensity. However, during his run as a heel and in his retirement years, he has been part of many funny moments. Getting him in the ring with Danhausen could deliver another as well as a stunner for the WWE newbie.
This meeting is actually a real possibility next week, with rumors swirling that Austin could be on RAW for the March 16 or 3:16 episode
The Undertaker
There is no character more dark, brooding, and serious than The Undertaker. However, in retirement, he has taken on a lighter approach and brought back his American Bad A** persona. It means that there is a far better chance of him being on screen with Danhausen.
Furthermore, with ‘Taker now being the individual to inform legends they are going into the Hall of Fame, and Danhausen making induction one of his demands for signing with either RAW or SmackDown, an encounter with the “Deadman” is a must.
Joe Hendry
Danhausen is a very nice, very evil, and very supernatural character. WWE fans have learned that once he puts a curse on you, he quickly disappears. But what if there were a character that could catch him off guard while being too nice to curse? Enter NXT Champion Joe Hendry.
Danhausen saying Hendry’s name and being surprised when the champ pops up out of nowhere could create a viral moment that millions of fans would get a laugh from.
Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman is one of the best talkers in the industry. Outside of a beatdown from a top star, nothing rattles him. However, how would he handle a meeting with Danhausen? And what is Danhausen’s opinion of the advocate, wiseman, oracle? It’s a weird and unexpected moment WWE fans need to get.
Jacob Fatu
Jacob Fatu is one of the most intense performers on the WWE roster right now. Rarely is he not yelling and thrashing around. But could he keep that same level of intensity in the face of Danhausen? And if he does, how does the new addition to the WWE roster react? Either way, the interactions between them could be pretty hilarious.
Trick Williams
Trick Williams is, arguably, the most cocky and confident performer in WWE today. It’s why an encounter with Danhausen must happen. No two characters are more opposite. Furthermore, WWE fans need to know what Danhausen thinks about William’s coats, and of course, his lemon peppa steppas.
Just imagine Danhausen wanting them and threatening a curse if he doesn’t get them?
