WWE is reportedly exploring a surprise for next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, which falls on March 16 (3:16 Day) in San Antonio, Texas.

Given the significance of the date and the location in the “Texas Rattlesnake’s” home state, internal speculation has picked up regarding a potential appearance by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio, while no official invitation has been publicly confirmed, there is hope within the company that Austin will be present for the show.

If Austin does appear, it would mark his first live in-person appearance on Monday Night Raw in several years. His last match took place at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match.

Most recently, Austin made a surprise cameo at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, where he drove an ATV to ringside and participated in the Hall of Fame ceremony as a two-time inductee for his “Immortal Moment” against Bret Hart.

The speculation regarding Austin’s 3:16 Day appearance is also being linked to the broader “Road to WrestleMania”. Rumors have surfaced on social media that Austin may also appear at WrestleMania 42.

Austin’s proximity to Las Vegas—where he currently resides—makes him a natural fit for a role at the April 18–19 event, possibly as a host or special guest. Austin remains in excellent physical condition following successful knee replacement surgery from a few years ago, leaving the door open for physical segments if the creative plan makes sense.

Further fueling the return rumors, WWE has already confirmed Austin for WWE World 2026, the fan convention taking place during WrestleMania week at the Las Vegas Convention Center. He is scheduled to appear for autograph and photo sessions on April 18 and 19. Additionally, WWEShop.com has recently launched a new line of “Stone Cold” apparel branded for the 2026 3:16 Day celebrations.
