WWE currently boasts one of the largest and most stacked rosters in history. However, this depth creates a unique challenge where incredible talents can become “forgotten,” either trapped in a creative holding pattern or stuck on the injury list.

This has led to a major paradox where several top-tier performers are sitting on the sidelines. Today, we are spotlighting five “forgotten” stars who WWE needs to bring back into the spotlight immediately.

Santos Escobar

The absence of Santos Escobar has been notable. Reports confirmed that his contract expired in October of this year, but he quickly re-signed with the company. Despite securing his future, he has yet to be properly utilized on television, having been spotted backstage at the October 27 edition of Raw but not making an official appearance.

The former leader of Legado Del Fantasma is a talent with too much potential to be kept on the sidelines. WWE needs to weave him into current storylines immediately, as he consistently delivers compelling feuds when booked.

Omos

The main roster is currently in desperate need of a true monster heel, a role Omos perfectly fills. The “Nigerian Giant” has been absent from television since April 2024, sadly becoming an afterthought in the busy landscape of WWE.

Omos is a walking spectacle whose sheer physical presence creates memorable, jaw-dropping moments that resonate with fans. Benchmarking a superstar of his physical magnitude is a waste. He needs to return without further delay to shake up the main event scene and re-establish himself as a special attraction.

Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews has been away from the ring since suffering a pectoral injury in January 2025. He has been training diligently for his comeback, even making a surprise return to the ring at a Lucha Libre AAA event on November 22, where he defeated Lince Dorado in a dark match.

Crews brings a unique flavor and athleticism that the mid-card desperately needs. His return would immediately freshen up the Raw Intercontinental Championship picture, which currently features Penta El Zero Miedo, Rusev, and Sheamus in what has become a repetitive cycle.

Austin Theory

The biggest question mark remains Austin Theory. The former two-time United States Champion and Money in the Bank winner has been gone for quite some time due to an undisclosed injury, and his prolonged absence feels like a self-inflicted wound for WWE. Theory is viewed by many as the “future face” of the company, and keeping a talent of his caliber on the sidelines makes zero sense.

While he was rumored to join the heel side of the WarGames match at Survivor Series, those spots ultimately went to Logan Paul and Brock Lesnar, leaving his status a total mystery, although many point to him being the mystery attacker.
