WWE is reportedly looking to refresh its lineup of Premium Live Events (PLEs) by potentially retiring some current events and bringing back popular classics. This strategy could leverage fan nostalgia and inject new energy into the company’s annual schedule. Here are five former WWE PLEs that could make a return to the calendar in the near future.
No Way Out

No Way Out is an event name that has been revived briefly in the past and holds significant recognition, particularly from the Ruthless Aggression and Attitude eras. The PLE served as the precursor to the Elimination Chamber match, hosting the signature contest in 2008 and 2009 before the concept was replaced by the event named after the match itself.
Rebranding the annual Elimination Chamber PLE back to No Way Out could avoid the feeling that the stipulation match is arbitrary and add a touch of nostalgia for fans. The return would also align with WWE’s recent trend of moving away from naming PLEs after specific match types, such as Hell in a Cell and TLC.
Bragging Rights

While the traditional Survivor Series team match has long hosted brand warfare, the concept of inter-brand competition could be revived under the Bragging Rights name. The original event was short-lived, lasting only two years, and failed largely because it lacked stakes and was too close to Survivor Series.
If revived, the event could pit top stars from Raw against SmackDown in an exhibition style, with representatives possibly extending to NXT, Lucha Libre AAA, and even an invading TNA Wrestling squad. Adding stakes, such as giving the winning team’s General Manager an advantage in the potential WWE Draft 2026, could make the concept meaningful.
St. Valentine’s Day Massacre

With February 14, 2026, falling on a Saturday, WWE has a perfect opportunity to revive the one-off PLE name, St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Only used once in 1999, the event is fondly remembered by Attitude Era fans for hosting the legendary Steel Cage Match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon.
Bringing the event back in 2026 could add another stop on the Road to WrestleMania 42, giving WWE a way to expand on growing rivalries and heighten the drama for the holiday weekend. This could potentially be formatted as a special edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
In Your House

The “In Your House” name is a classic concept from the past that could see a modern revival. Originally implemented to add more pay-per-views to the calendar at a lower cost and shorter runtime, the concept was retired as major events became the norm. A modern take could involve WWE making over a local venue or campus, hosting the event at a literal college campus.
WWE has previously trademarked “WWE Campus Rush,” suggesting a fun new spin on the concept. A campus takeover could become a traveling annual event, injecting significant energy into the yearly calendar.
Cyber Sunday

One past WWE event that could be completely reshaped for 2026 is Cyber Sunday. Originally known as Taboo Tuesday when it debuted in 2004, the event featured fan-voted elements and was later rebranded to Cyber Sunday in 2006. Making one WWE PLE entirely fan-voted could be an interesting way to shake up storylines and give fans a performative sense of power over the creative process.
The massive growth of social media since the event was discontinued in 2008 makes this concept highly relevant today, allowing WWE to leverage voting across platforms like X, YouTube, and Instagram to set up cross-brand dream matches.
