Per a press release from the WNBA, they have announced that there have been no positive COVID-19 tests from any of its players.

In addition, the league has also announced that 99% of its players have been fully-vaccinated and that all 12 teams meet the requirements to be considered a fully-vaccinated under WNBA protocols.

There has only been one COVID-19 positive test for the WNBA coming during training camps.

In contrast, the NBA’s 2020-21 season was riddled with positive tests with many players forced to miss several games.

One team whose season was effected by COVID-19 was the Washington Wizards who were forced to miss nearly two weeks worth of games due to positive tests and virus protocols.

It was reported during the season that when Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum returned from COVID protocols, he struggled with his conditioning to the point of needing an asthma inhaler. Most recently, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul was forced to miss the first two games of the Western Conference Finals after testing positive for the virus.

The good news? This is not the case with the WNBA.
