Where in the world is Aaron Rodgers? We know he’s not with his fellow teammates, attending the New York Jets’ mandatory minicamp, so what the heck is so much more important to the four-time MVP that he feels he can miss out on practice time?

The Jets have been relatively quiet on this front, only saying he’s attending “an event that is important to Aaron.” Naturally, this sent the football community into a tailspin, trying to guess what Rodgers is up to now. Is it another political event? Is he on one of his psychedelic retreats?

The speculation was endless. Until now.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Rodgers’ absence can be explained fairly simply. He’s “taking a vacation overseas, and he didn’t want to reschedule it around the Jets’ practices.”

Ultimately, everyone is blowing this out of proportion. He’s missing a grand total of two practices, which isn’t much different than a player missing two practices during the season due to injury or other factors.

Rodgers may not be there now, but he already knows the offense, and a little extra time off to heal his Achilles probably won’t hurt the 40-year-old’s chances of making it through a full season this fall.

Is it a little weird that Rodgers, who’s been in the NFL for 19 seasons, couldn’t plan his vacation a bit more accordingly, such as when his team didn’t have mandatory practice sessions? Of course it’s odd, but now we at least finally have our answer to what he’s doing instead.
