The Oklahoma Sooners wasted no time getting on the board Saturday night against Iowa State, as Jalen Hurts found CeeDee Lamb deep downfield for a touchdown.
Hurts threw it up into some coverage, trusting his electric receiver to make a big play. That’s exactly what Lamb did, showing off outstanding concentration to haul in a pass that nearly was picked off by a defender in front of him.
This 48-yard score came on Hurts’ first passing attempt of the game. It also gave Oklahoma an early 7-0 lead over a Cyclones team that figures to be hard pressed to keep up on the scoreboard.
