WATCH: Detroit Red Wings ring up five goals to defeat Vegas Golden Knights

Pius Suter and Tyler Bertuzzi each had a goal and an assist, Thomas Greiss made 38 saves and the host Detroit Red Wings defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 on Sunday.

Lucas Raymond, Robby Fabbri and Vladislav Namestnikov also scored for Detroit, which posted its second victory in as many nights. The Red Wings rallied for a 4-3 overtime victory at Buffalo on Saturday.

Team captain Dylan Larkin, who missed the previous three games due to personal reasons, returned to action and played 19 minutes.

Nicolas Roy had a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights. Jonathan Marchessault had their other goal, while Laurent Brossoit was credited with 25 saves.

The Wings scored two power-play goals while taking a 3-1 lead in the opening period.

Vegas struck first on Roy’s second goal this season. He fired in a shot from the slot off an Alex Pietrangelo feed. Shea Theodore picked up the secondary assist.

Raymond tied it on the Wings’ first power-play tally. Bertuzzi found him in the left circle for his sixth goal this season. Filip Zadina collected the secondary assist on the goal, which came after Pietrangelo’s delay of game penalty.

With William Carrier in the penalty box for holding, Fabbri scored his third goal this season. He beat Brossoit on the stick side after passes from Suter and Nick Leddy.

Leddy made a steal at center ice to set up the next goal. Suter went top shelf for his third goal with Filip Hronek getting an assist.

Namestnikov scored the only goal of the second period. He snuck a shot from the side of the net past Brossoit. Mitchell Stephens and Sam Gagner had the assists.

Roy forced a turnover in the Detroit zone and the beneficiary was Marchessault, who blasted a shot that beat Greiss on the glove side at 4:25 of the third period.

Bertuzzi added an empty-netter in the closing seconds for his third goal in two games.
