WATCH: Chicago Sky defeat New York Liberty for 7th straight win

On the same night that the Indiana Fever extended the WNBA’s longest active losing streak, the Chicago Sky extended the longest active win streak beating the New York Liberty 91-68.

Chicago’s victory marks its seventh straight, setting a new franchise record.

The Sky still have not lost since Candace Parker returned from an eight-game absence, improving their record to 9-7. New York has dropped four of its last five, sinking its record to below .500 at 7-8.

Kahleah Cooper and Diamond DeShields each scored 18 points for the Sky with the former adding seven rebounds and three assists.

Reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week Courtney Vandersloot finished with 13 points and nine assists while Allie Quigley came off the bench to also score 13 points. Candace Parker recorded a double-double with 12 points, 11 assists, four assists and two blocks.

Michaela Onyenwere led the Liberty with 16 points and six rebounds while Betnijah Laney and Sami Whitcomb each scored 14 points.

The Liberty had an off-night from three-point range shooting 4-of-25 in the game including shooting 2-of-16 from three in the first half. The Sky took advantage blowing out the Liberty 55-27 including a second quarter in which they outscored them 37-13.

While the Liberty would outscore the Sky 25-18 in the third quarter, they were only able to cut the deficit down to 19 points on their way to losing their second straight game.
