Buffalo Bills star Von Miller turns himself in to police after accusation of domestic violence

UPDATE: Von Miller has turned himself in to the Glenn Heights, Texas police station after an arrest warrant was issued earlier Thursday morning.

Buffalo Bills pass rusher and future Hall of Famer Von Miller appears to be in some hot water with authorities in Texas.

According to WFAA in Dallas, Miller has had an arrest warrant issued for him after his longtime girlfriend accused the Super Bowl MVP of domestic violence.

“Sources say Miller’s longtime girlfriend has accused him of assaulting her at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. Sources told WFAA that his attorney has been contacted about the case and that a warrant has been issued for Miller’s arrest,” report on Von Miller situation.

As of publication of this article, Miller had not been arrested. According to the report, the warrant comes with a charge of assaulting a pregnant person. That’s a third-degree felony in the state of Texas.

It was back in 2021 that Miller was under criminal investigation in the state of Colorado when he was a member of the Denver Broncos. Authorities did not disclose what the investigation was about and opted not to move forward with charges.

As for Miller’s current Bills team, they released a statement following reports of a warrant being issued against the star pass rusher.

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point,” the Bills said in a statement.

The No. 2 overall pick of the Broncos back in 2011, Miller currently ranks 19th on the all-time NFL sack list. He signed a six-year, $120 million contract with the Bills ahead of the 2022 season.
