Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports seems to think that the all-time great shooter is getting impatient in the Pacific Northwest. For good reason. Despite his otherworldly play, the Blazers have failed in building a contending team around the future Hall of Famer. At 30-years-old, it might be time for the sharpshooting guard to force his way out of the Pacific Northwest. If so, pretty much the entire NBA would come calling for a six-time All-Star who is averaging 27.5 points and 6.9 assists since the start of the 2016-17 season. The Miami Heat got an entire four games from All-Star guard Victor Oladipo after acquiring him from the Houston Rockets during the March 25 NBA trade deadline.

That’s going to be the extent of his contributions to the reigning Eastern Conference champions with the regular season coming to the close and the NBA Playoffs slated to start here soon.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Victor Oladipo will undergo season-ending surgery on his injured right quad tendon.

This is just a brutal blow for a Heat team that has been clicking in recent weeks after some major injury and COVID-related issues earlier in the season.

As for Victor Oladipo, the 29-year-old impending free agent ends his 2020-21 campaign having appeared in a grand total of 33 games in stops with the Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat. This is obviously going to have an impact on his free-agent market.

There’s still a good chance Oladipo returns to the Heat once free agency opens. The two were linked to one another on a never-ending loop before the aforementioned trade came together.

Miami sits at 38-31 and just recently clinched a spot in the NBA Playoffs. If the season were to end today, it would take on the upstart Atlanta Hawks in the first round. It’s in this that the likes of Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson must step up in Oladipo’s stead moving forward.
