USC asking for public to recommend Lynn Swann replacement

This is going to go swimmingly for the University of Southern California. Mere minutes after it was reported that athletic director Lynn Swann has resigned comes this whopper.

According to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times, USC President Carol Folt is asking for the public to recommend potential replacements.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize how this is going to go. If the first couple responses to this report are an indication, whoever is reading the inbox will be in for some fun.

It’s definitely a bold strategy, cotton. Now to see if it pays off.

On an unrelated note, doesn’t USC has trustees and other big-time figures within the athletic program to help Folt make this decision? Just thinking aloud here.
