Tyronn Lue announces Derrick Rose has ankle injury: ‘Doesn’t look good’

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose suffered an ankle injury Friday as the Cleveland Cavaliers played against the Milwaukee Bucks, and head coach Tyronn Lue doesn’t seem encouraged.

Before being injured Friday, Rose logged 23 minutes, scoring 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.

Rose and injuries are synonymous these days. He’s been prone to missing significant time every season since 2012, when he first tore the ACL in the playoffs. He appeared in 64 games in his one season with the New York Knicks last year and signed with Cleveland for one year this past summer. He recently addressed his $2.1 million deal, saying “I know how good I am,” while vowing to prove it to everyone who doubts him.
