Report: Derrick Rose has committed to signing with Cavaliers

Derrick Rose

Amid some serious upheaval as it relates to point guard Kyrie Irving, the Cleveland Cavaliers will reportedly welcome Derrick Rose to the fold.

Rose will likely be signing a one-year deal in Cleveland. He has obviously struggled to stay healthy for most of his career, which we saw in the fact he played just 64 games in New York last year.

Though, when healthy, Rose is still quite capable of breaking down defenses off the dribble. He averaged 18 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists last year with the Knicks.

It’s hard to know just how effective Rose will be playing with LeBron James and Co. Especially if he’s the primary point guard, durability will be key. It’s worth pointing out that Rose hasn’t been able to play more than 66 games in a season since 2010.
