The San Francisco 49ers have added future Hall of Famer Richard Sherman from the division rival Seattle Seahawks. Multiple media reports note that the deal is for $39 million over three seasons, adding even more intrigue to what has already been a crazy and still young NFL offseason.
Sherman deciding to sign with his bitter division rivals comes one day after his former Seattle Seahawks released the five-time Pro Bowler. It’s definitely one of the biggest stories around the NFL in some time. And it goes without saying that Twitter had its fun with the signing.

In all seriousness, this is good for the NFL. Any time the Seahawks and 49ers can be seen as rivals, its popcorn-worthy. We’re sure to see a prime-time game between the two teams this coming season.
