As much as I’d love to litter this Taylor Swift article with tons of references to her jams, I’m not that well-versed in her discography. But that doesn’t mean this story about Travis Kelce and the pop superstar isn’t a ton of fun anyway.
Look, millions love Swift’s music, right? Apparently Kelce, one of many superstars on the Kansas City Chiefs, wanted to love more than just the famous singer’s best work.
According to Kelce, he did his best to try and give his phone number to T-Swift at one of her recent concerts. He even reportedly went through the trouble of making ‘friendship bracelets’ with his phone number inscribed on them, just hoping one would reach the music icon’s grasp.
Yet, his master plan didn’t come to fruition.
Kelce suggests he was pretty bummed (Kelce said butthurt) to learn Swift doesn’t meet with anyone prior to going on stage. This is supposedly done in an effort to help preserve her voice for the upcoming performance. She wouldn’t want to let thousands of her fans down of course.
Luckily Kelce’s bad day didn’t turn into a bad experience at Swift’s concert. He says he still had a great time nonetheless.
“I’ve only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her. It was wild. It was a wild show.”

It looks like someone else will be Catching Kelce later on after Swift’s apparent rejection. While he already has two Super Bowl rings, the 33-year-old All-Pro tight end is still seeking another type of ring.
