It has been almost a decade since former Heisman winner Tim Tebow has played a snap in a regular-season NFL game. That could now change.

In what has to be considered stunning news, the Jacksonville Jaguars are set to sign the former Denver Broncos first-round pick. The one major caveat here is that Tebow will transition from quarterback to tight end in Duval.

Now 33 years old, Tebow last suited up for the New York Jets back in 2012. He’s best known for leading Denver to a shocking playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2011 NFL Playoffs.

Since he last appeared on the gridiron, Tebow has pursued a career in broadcasting and on the baseball diamond as a minor league player for the New York Mets organization.

Tebow now reunites with his former Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer in Jacksonville. It’s going to be a blast to see what he has to offer at tight end during offseason activities, training camp and the preseason.

Tim Tebow is back!
