Tickets for Redskins game as cheap as a cup of coffee

If you live in the D.C. area, there’s a decision to make this weekend. Go to Starbucks and buy two cold brews or spend three hours watching the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins do battle.

Tickets on the second-hand market for this meaningless game are going for as cheap as $5.00. That’s not a typo. You can get into an NFL game for the price of two cups of coffee this weekend.

It’s a horrible look for owner Daniel Snyder and the Redskins, especially after last week’s game against the New York Jets saw FedEx Field at much less than capacity.

Washington has been a disaster this season. The team boasts a 1-9 record. Opposing teams’ fans have taken over their home stadium at every turn.

It’s a joke in D.C. right now, and we’re not talking about politics.
