The Cleveland Browns were expecting big things from second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield after a record-setting rookie campaign.

Through the first three games of the 2019 season, it has not happened. Mayfield enters Week 4 having thrown three touchdowns compared to five interceptions while leading the Browns to the sixth-worst scoring offense in the NFL.

In fact, this one stat shows just how overrated Mayfield is heading into his team’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this coming weekend.

He legitimately leads the NFL in interceptions and fourth quarter picks since taking over as Cleveland’s starter.

That’s absolutely insane given all of the hype Mayfield received heading into the season. Some had even concluded that he was set to compete for the NFL MVP.

Sure it is a small sample size. Head coach Freddie Kitchens is also struggling with play calling.

Even then, we’re looking at the most turnover-prone quarterback in the NFL since he took over as Cleveland’s starter last season. Given that Jameis Winston is still a thing, this is alarming.
