Steve Smith won’t tone down trash talk: ‘I’m still a dirt bag’

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith is known for being one of the chirpiest players in the National Football League.

His reputation dates back to some ultra-productive and somewhat drama-filled days with the Carolina Panthers.

Even at his advanced age of 37, Smith remains one of the most-productive receivers in the game. He’s also not planning on toning down his on-field rhetoric any time soon.

Smith let’s you know how it is. He won’t shy away from being confrontational. We’ve seen this on social media and when it comes to throwing shade at fellow players in the past.

But he’s also not one to shy away from self-deprecating humor, as evidenced by this most-recent quote.

Once Smith does decide to hang the cleats up, he’s surely going to be missed. He’s one of the last pure trash-talking receivers that defined the 1990s and a vast majority of the 2000s.
