Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith clearly isn’t afraid to speak his mind on social media. It’s been a continuing theme for the future Hall of Fame pass catcher.
This continued over the weekend with Smith sending out a pretty strong message, one that was directed at Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo:

Smith’s tweet was in response to current NFL Media analyst and former running back Michael Robinson ranking his top-five players in the league that are 35-plus years old.
Robinson’s rankinge had Smith and Romo coming in at five and four respectively with Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Eli Manning topping the list.
Smith, 36, is coming off a 2015 campaign that saw him miss the final nine games with a torn Achilles. The five-time Pro Bowl performer has tallied 1,000-plus receiving yards eight times during his 15-year career, the first 13 of which came with the Carolina Panthers. He ranks in the top-15 in NFL history in receptions (961) and receiving yards (13,932).
As it relates to Romo, he’s also coming off an injury-plagued season that saw him miss 12 games due to multiple collarbone injuries. Romo, an un-drafted free agent from Eastern Illinois back in 2004, is the Cowboys all-time leader in passing yards (34,154) and passing touchdowns (247).
Smith might be right in regards to his ranking here, but he probably shouldn’t be questioning Romo’s status above him.
In any event, it’s rare to see one great player go after another great player on social media. Where’s the respect, dude?
