The Texas Longhorns are reportedly set to approve a four-year contract extension for Steve Sarkisian that runs through the 2030 season.

While the extension is still seeking approval, Sarkisian’s new salary is expected to be nearly double his 2023 rate, paying him over $10 million per season. This will make Sarkisian one of college football’s highest-paid coaches in 2024.

It’s quite the leap from the $5.8 million Sarkisian was initially set to make in 2024. But that’s not all. His salary will also increase by $100,000 per year through 2030.

In addition to a $300,000 signing bonus, Sarkisian will also receive several other high-end perks with the job. These include:

  • 20 hours of private plane use per year
  • Two new cars from a dealership
  • Tickets to sports events
  • Country club membership
  • Various bonuses for reaching championship stages, including $1.25 for CFP Championship win

Sarkisian’s job offer is extremely lucrative, but Texas is happy with the work he’s done, leading a 25-14 record across three seasons.
