It’s been a while since Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry pulled this out of his arsenal. Taking on the Boston Celtics Thursday night in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals at TD Garden, Curry’s Warriors were down by two points late in the second quarter.
After a Celtics turnover, the two-time NBA MVP decided to go full Curry by nailing a half-court buzzer beater as time expired in the second quarter.
Dude just nailed that from the other side of the Celtics’ logo. Even Boston fans inside the arena couldn’t help but be impressed. It was a crazy scene mere months after Stephen Curry put up a signature performance in Game 6 of the NBA Finals to win the title on Boston’s home floor.
We know that Curry has the longest range of any player in NBA history. Even then, it’s insane to see the future Hall of Famer unload from beyond halfcourt and hit a shot like it was a mere mid-range.
Stephen Curry finished the first half with 15 points, second behind Klay Thompson on the Warriors in scoring (20). If the Splash Brothers are really back, it should concern the rest of the NBA despite their average 22-22 start to the season.
