Four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is not lacking from a confidence standpoint.

Even dating back to his days with Davidson in College, this confidence has been pretty darn apparent on the basketball court.

With the 35-year-old Curry set to enter his 15th season in the NBA, attention is starting to turn to his status among the Association’s all-time greats.

Curry just recently sat down with former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, who asked the future Hall of Famer if he is the greatest point guard ever. Curry’s response was a resounding “yes.”

Five-time NBA champion Magic Johnson was brought into the conversation, too. Curry had nothing but great things to say about the former Los Angeles Lakers star and first ballot Hall of Famer. But the Warriors’ guard made it clear he believes that he’s the greatest point guard ever.

It certainly is a debate worth having. Curry has earned nine All-Star appearances, four NBA titles and two NBA MVP awards since the Warriors made him the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Curry holds the all-time record in three-pointers made. From a single-season perspective, Curry holds four of the top-five marks in Association history. The 402 he hit back in 2015-16 still stands as the record.

As for Magic Johnson, he made 12 All-Star appearances while winning five NBA titles and earning three MVP awards. Johnson also earned three NBA Finals MVP awards compared to Curry’s one.

Stephen Curry stats: 24.6 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 6.3 APG, 48% shooting, 43% 3-point

Since the start of the Warriors’ dynastic run back in 2014-15, Curry is averaging 27.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 6.4 APG on 42% shooting from three-point range.

As for this debate, others belong on the conversation, too. Oscar Robertson might be one of the most-underrated players in NBA history. The 12-time All-Star and Hall of Famer put up three consecutive seasons in which he averaged north of 30 points and a triple-double each year.

New Warriors guard Chris Paul should also be in the conversation. He ranks third on the all-time list in assists behind two other all-time greats in that of John Stockton and Jason Kidd.
