The Dallas Stars signed forward Joe Pavelski to a one-year contract extension on Sunday.

He will earn a base salary of $3.5 million plus up to $2 million in performance bonuses in 2023-24.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue being a member of the Stars organization,” Pavelski said in a news release. “Sarah, Nate and I have loved being part of this team and Dallas/Fort Worth community for the past four years. We have an incredible group of players in this locker room, and I am excited to continue to work with my teammates toward our goal of winning the Stanley Cup.”

Pavelski, 38, has appeared in all 38 games and is third on the team with 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists) this season.

He has 961 points (433 goals, 528 assists) in 1,206 career games with the San Jose Sharks (2006-19) and Stars.
