The St. Louis BattleHawks’ blowout win over the New York Guardians in their home opener Sunday was a thing of beauty. Fans in St. Louis chose to troll Rams owner Stan Kroenke over his decision to relocate the team to Los Angeles.

As the first XFL game in St. Louis played out, it became increasingly clear that the Gateway to the West was ready for pro football. About 30,000 fans found their way into The Dome at America’s Center. It was as loud as all get out.

One day after St. Louis’ 29-9 win over New York, and we’re starting to get a better understanding of how well XFL football in the city is going to do. According to Vivid Seats, tickets to BattleHawks games are the most-expensive on the young season.

Including the upcoming Week 4, four of the five most-expensive games thus far this season have included the BattleHawks.

This is pretty amazing stuff given that the NFL gave up St. Louis like a bad habit ahead of the 2016 season. It also bodes well for XFL football in the city.
