Well, this has to be a first. The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers are set to do battle inside SoFi Stadium in Southern California on Monday Night Football.
The operative terms here are “set to do battle.” The game was postponed from its original 8:20 PM EST start time until 8:55 PM EST due to weather. Said weather is apparently a lightning storm in the Southern California region.
Did we mention SoFi Stadium has a roof? It’s an indoor stadium. That means enclosed. Not subject to weather. Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden pretty much was all of us once the delay was announced. Dude legitimately looked up to the roof.
“Really?” That about sums it up.
As the NFL world prepared for the undefeated Raiders took take on their division rival Los Angeles Chargers, there was a whole heck of a lot of talk about the “weather” delay.
