Toronto Raptors rookie forward Scottie Barnes is skilled in pretty much every aspect of the game. It’s one of the reasons the team made the Florida State product the No. 4 pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
After what was a solid preseason for Barnes, the kid made his debut against the Washington Wizards Wednesday evening. In the process, he turned back the clock to the days of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with his first regular-season basket.
Check out Barnes pulling out the lefty sky hook against fellow young forward Deni Avdija. It was something to behold.
If Scottie Barnes is making this shot on a consistent basis, he’s going to turn into an absolute superstar for the Raptors. It’s something that has not been part of the NBA lexicon over the past several seasons.
